SESSIONS-AT-A-GLANCE (Posted 7/22/2019)
Local school systems and the Georgia Department of Education are using an unprecedented amount of data for making decisions related to student achievement. Data is used to feed Statewide Longitudinal Data System (SLDS), effectively measure student progress, evaluate instructional and program success. Data is also being used to drive decisions pertaining to curriculum, resource allocation, and to ensure teacher and leader accountability.
Sessions during the Data Conference will provide attendees with valuable information related to collecting data, reporting data, and using that data. Individuals who could benefit from attending the Data Conference sessions include: SEA, district and school level administrators (such as principals, program area directors, coordinators, etc.) and any support staff (district/school level) accountable for state and federal reporting related to funding, accountability, or education program management.
